So what is the Fabulous Fakes art exhibition? This is a show put on by the FALC members/artists features work by member artists created in the style of the famous master. They can try to recreate the entire piece, part of it or interpret their style to create a new piece.

The Fine Arts League of Cary is pleased to announce the Fabulous Fakes Art Exhibition. It will run from September 24th through November 11th at the Cary Arts Center 101 Dry Ave Cary NC.

There will be an artist’s reception on September 27th from 6-8 pm.

Our judge will be Tracy Carhart.

There will be a fun silent auction as well as a one night art exhibit to enjoy.

Each ticket includes one wine or beer ticket, a lovely appetizer buffet

and the opportunity to meet and socialize with your favorite art lover and artist friends! 

There is a limit of 100 attendees, so get your tickets early

Russ Hughes, Operations Manager of the Cary Arts Center, will share examples of his artwork (he calls his signature style “painterly realism”). He’ll discuss how his art has been shaped by his bucolic childhood, his talented female relatives, and his circuitous path to art-making.

Monthly programs are open to the public, so feel free to bring guests who are interested in learning more about FALC.

Theresa Raines and her exuberant art will lift your spirits! The paintings she has selected for this exhibit are inspired by her experience sitting under a palm tree on a secluded beach in Costa Rica.

Wine and a colorful sweet bar will echo Theresa’s vibrant art in the relaxing retail space of Home for Entertaining.

FALC's Meet the Artist events are free and open to the public. Try to make time to visit the other downtown galleries that are participating in the Final Friday Cary Art Loop that evening, as well!

About Theresa

Theresa creates vibrant, intuitive abstracts using a mix of acrylics, spray paint, ink, adhesives, and paper. She creates multiple large-scale pieces simultaneously with bold strokes that flow from one canvas to the next. Her goal is to create happy art whose colors and shapes can energize and inspire positivity. Born in Sweden, she is a naturalized US citizen and works out of her Cary, NC studio.
