Printmaking without a press

What do Rembrandt, Munch, Picasso, & Chuck Close all have in common? They were all printmakers. Printmaking has been recognized as a versatile and expressive artistic medium for centuries. Although there are many different printmaking techniques, Tracy Carhart’s presentation will focus on four. It will begin with a brief look at photogravure, an intaglio process incorporating the photograph, followed by demonstrations of monoprint, monotype, & dry point printing. Afterwhich, the studio will be opened for a hands-on experience in printmaking and fun!
