November 2025 Member News & Milestones

Join FALC in celebrating our member news & milestones:


  • Renee Crawford's painting “What Lies Beyond” has been juried into the Fall Painting, Sculpture and Graphics Exhibition at the famed Salmagundi Club in New York City. The artists' reception is November 20. Congratulations, Renee! 

  • Two of Chip Freund's photographic works were accepted into the 18th Annual Open Juried Photographic Exhibit at the Cary Senior Center, running from October 22 through December 2025. This print-only exhibition by Cary Photographic Artists features 50 juried photographs.

  • Diana Coidan's pastel "Rooted" was accepted into the Southeastern Pastel Society's "Luminosity" Juried Virtual International Open Exhibition. From 566 entries, 229 were selected into this open international pastel show, running from November 1 through December 12. View the online exhibit. She also had two pastels accepted into the Piedmont Pastel Society Member Online Show for 2025 by juror and judge, Jill Wagner. The show runs November 2 to January 1, 2026.

  • Congratulations to Noel White whose "Preening" (oil on canvas, 15" x 30") swam away with a Second Place ribbon in the Professional Artist division of the NC State Fair last month!

  • Magdalena Scholle earned many ribbons from the 2025 NC State Fair in mid-October! She took multiple 1st-place honors in the Adult Handicrafts division with her painted rocks, painted shells, and fabric paintings. She also won 2nd place in that division with her Holiday Decoration oil painting, and Bees & Honey painting.

  • Heidi-Lee Peach invites everyone to her two-person show at the Clayton Center (111 E Second St, Clayton) where two dozen of her oils, acrylics, and watercolors are on exhibit through Thanksgiving. In more exciting news, she was awarded an artist residency in Bald Head Island for the month of January 2026. And to top all that off, she and her artwork were recently profiled in Cape Fear Living magazine.
