Artist's Statement
I create portraits of people, places, and pets from life using acrylics, watercolors, alcohol markers and graphite. I am interested in capturing a moment in time whether that is depicting large groups of people at a cafe, a strong woman's face, a favorite pet, or a place that holds meaning for the viewer.
Artist's Bio
Lindsey received her BFA from the Mason Gross School of Art at Rutgers University with a focus on drawing and printmaking. Those skills were put to use during her 15-year career as a women's clothing designer in the fashion industry in New York City before moving to North Carolina in 1998.
Lindsey has had solo shows at the former Imurj gallery in Raleigh, Industrious Raleigh, The Page-Walker in Cary, The Halle Arts Center in Apex, and Artmosphere in Clayton and has exhibited in several FALC shows. A dozen works are in a permanent installation at Cotton House Brewing in Downtown Cary.
