Following a busy career in arts administration and arts education, Sharon is currently enjoying re-engaging her love of painting and drawing - especially portraits and figurative work. Her love of people is reflected in her artworks as she strives to reflect the inner and outer qualities of the individuals she has met along the way.
Sharon has a Bachelor of Arts Education from the Ohio State University with a major in painting and drawing, an MA in Arts Education from Arizona State University, is A.B.D with her Ed.D. in Secondary and Arts Education from Arizona State University. She also studied at George Washington University, Old Dominion University, and with various artists including Igor Koutsenko of San Diego, California and Alia El Bermani of Raleigh, North Carolina. She currently serves on the board of the Fine Arts League of Cary.
She lives in Cary, North Carolina with her husband Tom and crazy dog Max.
