Support Arts Education

The Fine Arts League of Cary has hosted the Wake Teen Exhibition for over 15 years. Every year we see increased support for STEM (science, technology, engineering and math) programs, while art programs have been shockingly impoverished. Many WCPSS art teachers have $6 - $10 per student per year to spend on art supplies. All students need the arts to experience the creative process and grow their imaginations. Our society needs our future creative problem solvers to pursue answers beyond the obvious. Today many students complete their whole school journey without participating in one art class. And even those who do, because of severe budget limitations, have a diminished experience.

Through its Wake Teen Exhibition, FALC strives to support and encourage young area artists and art programs by giving achievement awards directly to young artists and their teachers, while providing the opportunity to participate in a professionally installed art exhibition at Meredith College gallery. Simply being chosen for the exhibition is something that a young artist can add to their list of accomplishments.

FALC seeks to raise $50,000 for our May 2025 Wake Teen Exhibition. Please consider donating to the future of local school art programs and young artists. FALC is a 501 3C non profit prepared to receive traditional sponsorships as well as estate donations.
