Terry

A Swanson

I grew up in Richmond, Va. I graduated from Virginia Tech though not in any art related area. I raised 2 boys and was a seamstress and tailor. That lead me to embroidery and quilting. I also dabbled in watercolor. I have now discovered the perfect medium....clay

Welcome to my pottery studio! I am fascinated and constantly amazed by the opportunities that a clump of earth can gift me . drawing inspiration from Mother Nature, I am learning to throw bowls and vases, and then sculpt birds, flowers, butterflies, underwater creatures ( inspiration from my years of living on a sailboat in the western Caribbean and scuba diving). I am on a wonderful journey and hope you will enjoy it as much as I do!
