Suzanne

Dusterhoff

Suzanne Dusterhoff is an artist working in a variety of mediums. Watercolor and pastel are among her favorite media, along with intaglio and relief printmaking. What began as a self-taught journey has led to the pursuit of an AFA at Wake Tech and a desire to keep learning. Suzanne has shown work in shows produced by the Adirondack Pastel Society, The Cape Cod Pastel Society, The New Hampshire Pastel Society and The Ironbridge Printmaking International Competition. She was a collaborator on a permanent public art installation on Wake Tech's South Campus. Suzanne has held two solo shows at the Holly Springs Cultural Center.

I am drawn to subjects that I see around me that stop me in my tracks with wonder. The color, light, shadow, shape or feeling of a landscape, a tree or a flower will often inspire me to want to explore it further in a drawing or painting. I am always hoping to communicate the amazing in the mundane that often goes unnoticed.
