After retiring in 2014, I began studying a variety of art techniques including pottery, mosaics, traditional acrylic painting, watercolor, colored pencil, and pan pastels. Before retiring and while my daughters were growing up, I created unique bead and wire art called Bead Dolls and sold them in the gift shops of art galleries around the country. Today, each Bead Doll has a strong niobium magnet back and can be used as a brooch, plant, hat, or tree ornament, refrigerator magnet.  You will find them at Cecy’s Gallery in Durham, NC and Cocoon in downtown Apex.

Then after exploring all of these art styles, I came across Acrylic Fluid Art on YouTube. Acrylic Fluid Art is a wonderful art form by itself but works well as the base for mixed media collage. Now I'm able to bring my experience with other art techniques to create a truly unique piece of art. Any object can be painted using fluid art techniques including coasters, glass or plastic ornaments, vases, and more. Currently, I offer 3 hour private classes(1-2 persons) for $75. Cost includes all materials to produce one painting.
