Mike Kim composes colors and forms to express his perception and sensing of the beings created by nature and human activities in ancient and modern days, including nanoparticles to lighthearted life forms. Sound is one of his favorite objects, which has one most fascinating nature as its existence is heard only when created by its companion and cannot be seen or touched. Experimenting to express various tones and harmonies of sounds by composing respectively translated hues with resonated value and chroma in unique dimensional space and dynamic forms. Since his first original work on expression of sound was performed in 2003 in San Diego, CA, his journey began. His works have been invited to local and nationwide juried exhibitions, which encouraged him to stay in the art community even with his little hand. He is fascinated by facial delicacies and multifariousness and loves to draw portraits. Further, his recent work is in journey with the intricate nature of time after he lost his parents.
