A SC native I studied art in college receiving a BA from Coker University, MAT from the U of SC and grants to study with Art Student League Instructor, Gary Faigin, the Florence Academy of Art in Italy followed by classical atelier training at the Mims Studio in Southern Pines, NC. I spent thirty years teaching HS art and photography and now work full-time as an artist, my long-time dream.

I have been painting most of my life and consider myself a representational artist fascinated with light and color as they move throughout our natural world.
