Knaup

I didn't start my artistic pursuits until I retired. I began taking drawing and painting classes at the Art League of Alexandria Va under various artists to include Danni Dawson, Tania Karpowitz, Robert Liberace and Lisa Semerad. Moving to Colorado I studied under Dan Richardson and Jeanne Mackenzie. I paint primarily in oil. I paint landscapes, animals, and still life.

Travel drew me to the art world. I love to visit art galleries and see the the world through the artist eyes. Painting with fellow artists provided the feedback and encouragement to develop my own painting style. I especially like painting animals as I like to capture their subtle expressions. I tend to be always in motion and painting is one place where I become still and savor the environment around me.
