Kathryn’s studio is a cafe table surrounded by windows, plants, and singing birds, with cats underneath her chair. Working in watercolor, acrylic, oil, and collage, she paints from life and her own photographs. Kathryn studied painting and art history while earning two degrees in English. Mesmerized as a child by the names and colors in her sister’s Crayola box of 64, she continues to delight in relationships between texts and images and in the ephemeral beauty hidden within everyday life.
