Artist's Statement
Painting, to me, is an act of devotion. With devotion, I aim to communicate feelings with color, light and shadow in still life and landscape paintings. Walking is a part of my daily life and painting practice too. I pick up leaves, sticks and stones on my walks. All of these experiences, seeking light, walking, picking up leaves, sticks and stones inform my paintings. My hope? Each painting will benefit, connect, inspire an emotion, in an otherwise disconnected world.
