About My Art
I joined FALC in 2022, and becoming a member and volunteer with this organization is one of the best decisions I've made in retirement. Through FALC, I continually meet fun, inspiring, and encouraging artists who are incredibly diverse and talented. My own art practice has grown to include exhibiting and selling my original art, two things I'd never imagined when I left a long technical editing career at IBM.
I also enjoy FALC's many volunteer opportunities to help expand local art awareness and appreciation, such as coordinating FALC art exhibits at Pro's Epicurean Café in downtown Cary, helping to showcase FALC artists at Meet-the-Artist socials open to the public, and editing the FALC newsletter that is delivered by email to over 500 members and non-member subscribers monthly.
Our name may be "Fine Arts League of Cary," but don't be put off by the word "fine." Think of it as a "fine league" of individuals who are engaged in making, enjoying, and learning about all forms of visual art.
