Lazcano

Genie Lazcano, Acrylic Artist from Cary, NC I began painting about 12 years ago and have taken workshops and classes in drawing, pastels with Wendy Mueller, and while working in acrylics, with Richard Ensing, Colley Whisson, Monica Lunaires, Nicole White Kennedy, and Catherine Martin. For 2 years I have had my work accepted into the Cary Gallery of Artists' Small Treasures Juried Exhibit.

I have always loved the ocean and the beauty of landscapes from the dramatic to the subdued or quaint. These images led me to pastels and later to painting in acrylics. Nature and people keep me inspired. I love the "process" of painting, the honing of skills, the changing ability of your eye to see, and the constant learning of a never-ending number of subjects, techniques, and styles. I have been fortunate to meet remarkable artists. My idea of joy is painting Plein Air with a group of friends.
