About My Art
Emily White is a visual artist based in Cary, North Carolina, working primarily in oil and watercolor. Her work spans portraiture, landscapes, and urban scenes—each piece a study in light, emotion, and the quiet beauty of everyday life. Whether capturing the subtle expression of a face or the shifting atmosphere of a plein air landscape, her paintings invite viewers into a space of reflection and connection.
With a background as a corporate executive and adjunct professor at Northwestern University, Emily brings a thoughtful, disciplined approach to her creative practice. Since 2017, she has devoted thousands of hours to developing her craft, studying with nationally recognized artists and participating in workshops across the country.
Her work has been exhibited regionally and collected by private buyers, often through word of mouth. She currently serves on the board of a publicly traded company, where she continues to champion innovation and integrity—values that also shape her artistic vision.
Whether painting in her home studio or outdoors on location, Emily creates art that honors the human spirit and the landscapes we inhabit—both natural and built. Her work is a meditation on presence, place, and the stories that live within us.
