I am a lifelong citizen of North Carolina and retired from a 40 year career in the electric distribution engineering department at CP&L/Progress/Duke Energy. I care for my elderly mother who lives with me and I’m an active member in my Protestant church. I love painting!

I have always loved the visual arts beginning with graphite drawings from childhood. I enjoyed making metal jewelry for several years and I only started painting about 6 years ago. Since then, I have discovered a love of oils, which is my first preference. However I have found that I enjoy pastels almost as much. I love painting landscapes, figures in their environment, animals, still life’s…but enjoy trying almost everything!
