I have loved color and art since I was a child. Through workshops, classes, tutorials, books, and countless hours of practice, I have learned techniques in a variety of media including oil, oil pastel, acrylic, and watercolor painting. I have also taken multiple classes to study drawing and practice line, tone, and composition. My experience encompasses: ​ -Numerous studio classes and workshops at The Art League in Alexandria, VA, where I studied drawing, figure drawing, colored pencil, mixed media collage, and abstract acrylic painting. -Additional in-person studio classes in photography, oil painting, and drawing, including a figure drawing course in Oxford England. Former member of the Washington, D.C. chapter the Colored Pencil Society of America with artwork featured in a CPSA Chapter 109 show. - Design career experience including graphic design, digital photo editing, logo creation, online publication layouts and attractive, user-oriented web pages. -Ongoing independent learning through community workshops and online coursework in watercolor, pencil drawing, and mixed media. ​ Born and raised in Buffalo, New York, I have lived in Cary, North Carolina since 2013. I enjoy the arts-rich community here, and the beauty of the areas inspires my work.

In my oil pastel and colored pencil work, I aim to create peaceful rural vistas and landscapes touched by energizing color. My abstracts and collages strive for beauty through the interplay of deep color and texture with metallic and light-catching elements. Each piece strives to balance a sense of gentle movement and quiet stillness, as well as vivid brightness and tranquil rest, to evoke a state or place of peaceful flow inspired by the natural world.
