I come from Shanghai. I used to be a big city girl. After immigrating to the United States in 1995, I have lived in many places, including the Dominican Republic for three years. I have been living in North Carolina for seventeen years now. I live on a farm for ten years , tending to chickens, sheep, and growing flowers . My journey in oil painting began with Millet's "The Gleaners" in 2009. The painting deeply resonated with me, and I copied it twice within three days. One of those paintings still hangs in my living room. My journey in acrylic painting started with Catherine Martin. I have been attending her class once a week for over four years. I have a passion for color, as life itself is like a spectrum - rich, ever-changing, and captivating.
