Three years ago I picked up a paintbrush and fell in love. Working from my home studio in Cary, North Carolina I spend hours mesmerized with textures, colors and shapes. My inspiration comes from my roots in Manitoba, Canada, my experiences living for several years in Europe and my current home in the United States. Impressionism allows me to convey the feeling of a place with artistic liberties and the freedom to let color reign. I especially enjoy working with oils and the way that the colors play together stroke after stroke. My easel is what calls to me. It is a life giving, joyful process fueled by curiosity and some days, filled with frustration! It is a learning process and I am enjoying the journey!
