Member Meeting: Art Show-and-Tell

Thursday, October 24     5 to 6 pm

Cary Art Center, 101 Dry Ave, Cary

All members are invited to bring a piece of their artwork to show the group as a fun way to (re)introduce themselves. This is not for critique, but rather for supportive, positive feedback. No pressure! Theresa might even set a timer this time, so everyone has equal time!

Monthly Program: Russ Hughes and his non-traditional art journey

Thursday, October 24     6:30 to 8 pm

Cary Art Center, 101 Dry Ave, Cary

Russ Hughes, Operations Manager of the Cary Arts Center, will share examples of his artwork (he calls his signature style “painterly realism”). He’ll discuss how his art has been shaped by his bucolic childhood, talented female relatives, and circuitous art journey. Monthly Programs are open to the public, so feel free to bring guests who are interested in learning more about FALC.

Meet the Artist: Theresa Raines’ “As Above So Below”

Friday, October 25   5:30 to 7:30 PM

Home for Entertaining

119 W. Park St, Cary

Theresa Raines and her exuberant art will lift your spirits! The paintings she has selected for this show are inspired by her experience sitting under a palm tree on a secluded beach in Costa Rica. Wine and a colorful sweet bar will echo Theresa’s vibrant art.
