Born and raised in rural Raleigh, North Carolina, as a young child I was fascinated by the tiniest details of my surroundings. I loved and respected the natural world of plants and animals. This fascination has continued throughout my adulthood. Ingrained are memories of sites that tell stories of details missed by todayıs fast paced world.

My work represents realistic paintings that I develop creatively and hold close to my heart. I find it imperative to capture simple elements, that are ever changing in our environment for others to visually enjoy. My view of the world is captured in my paintings and hopefully allows the viewer to interpret their own story with their imagination and or memories.  A career for over three decades in graphics has afforded me the experience of aesthetically pleasing and compositionally successful paintings.  Throughout my career as a graphic designer and visual artist, I have always maintained some level of painting in my free time. Through commissioned paintings of pet/people portraits, as well as nature paintings, I continue my love of fine art that I have been blessed to share with others.

I love the challenge of transferring my ideas created within me into a painting others may enjoy visually.
