I have been drawing since I could hold a pencil and began painting at age 12.  For much of my adult life, I did commissioned portraits “on the side” while raising my children.  As our nest has emptied, I have been able to pursue my art on a full-time basis, working out of my home studio.
I continue to experiment with different techniques and subject matter, seeking to capture particular expressions and moments in time.

Originally from Dunn, North Carolina, I have lived in North Raleigh since 1983.  My work can be found at the Cary Gallery of Artists in Cary, the White Heron Gallery in Dunn and the Ricky Evans Gallery in Southport, NC.
