Caroline F Morgan

I am a self taught photographic artist starting out some 30 years ago with a Kodak Instamatic and moving on to my current Canon 50D digital SLR. My favourite photographic subjects are landscapes and macros of flowers and bugs. I edit, print and frame most of  my photographs myself

"Duke Lily" is one of my favourite photographs of a subject I love-Water Lilies.  I used  a watercolour filter to produce an art effect.  Since it is a photograph it can be produced in sizes from as small as 3 by 5 up to about 18 by 24 (after this it loses some sharpness).

"Misty Mountain" from my After the Storm collection is a photograph of the view from the top of Beech Mountain,NC after heavy rain and a hard frost.  Again it can be reproduced and framed  in several sizes.

I am originally from the United Kingdom and grew up near London then moving to Scotland. I was inspired to take up photography as a hobby after a trip to Switzerland when I was 14 - the scenery was breathtaking.  I persuaded my parents to buy me a 35mm camera and started shooting everything and anything.  I still regard myself as an amateur but would love to make photography my profession. I have had a photograph published in Our State magazine, Carolina Woman magazine, the local business calendar, two sold in an auction, six accepted into three juried exhibitions to name a few accolades!
