A North Carolina native, McCauley is originally from Wilmington, but has lived all around the southeast. She has a Bachelors’ in Art from the University of North Florida. Alison paints in oil. Her works are typically representational and depict common life encounters. Subjects include figurative work, landscapes and genre scenes. Many of her images have a strong sense of place and reflect the years of her life spent in the Carolinas. Scenes from Raleigh and Charleston, Wrightsville and Huntington Beaches, and favorite vacation spots like Black Mountain are typically found in her portfolio.
