Alison McCauley

McCauley paints primarily in oil on canvas. Her subjects vary from portrait like figures to everyday scenes that often feature people in everyday activities.

Alison has been a professional artist for over 30 years. After earning her BA in Art at the University of North Florida, she worked primarily in clay until 2003. She sold her work in galleries and at craft shows throughout the southeast and taught pottery classes in her studio/gallery in Summerville, SC for about 8 years.

Alison began exploring oil painting in 2000. In 2003 she made the decision to transition away from clay to make painting her primary creative focus.

Alison is a NC native, born in Wilmington. She has recently moved back to NC from Summerville, SC and resides in Wake Forest.
