Fay Krapf

With the abstract and representative abstract paintings, I listen to the inner inspiration that directs each brush stroke corralling free form, flow, and the mingling of color to capture a mood and please the senses.

After years of art and crafts training in school and workshops, I began my first creative chapter as a potter in Maine in the 70's, creating a working pottery studio, gallery, and pottery apprentice training program. While my pottery was functional, I delighted in the art of the three-dimensional designs and the integration of form and function. Moving to Raleigh, NC in the early 90's, I focused on work in career coaching, helping people craft their work lives. Seeking balance and following my desire for creative expression, I reconnected to my art passion creating abstract and representational abstract paintings in both watercolor and acrylic.
My work is shown in juried, solo, and group shows and gallery exhibits.  I love the experience of painting, and as I paint, I listen to the inner inspiration that directs each brush stroke corralling free form, flow, and the mingling of color to capture a mood and please the senses. I want to bring beauty and joy into people’s lives through art.
