The Prospectus: See the Prospectus for information about the entry requirements, forms, fees and procedure.
Digital Imaging Help: Help with many aspects of digital imaging is extensively covered on our Digital Imaging for Artists page. In addition to picture taking hints, this page includes two suggested ways to edit the images with a tutorial covering each method and links to tutorials covering making a Data CD (CD burning) containing your image files.
Submission of Images: Digital images must be submitted in JPEG format at not larger than 900 by 900 pixels and a maximum file size of 1 MB. Keep the maximum dimension in the 700 to 900 pixel range to give the juror the best view of the work . The image files must be named in the following format:
Last Name_First Name_Title1.jpg - Example: Dokes_Jane_Gentle.jpg
Last Name_First Name_Title2.jpg - Example: Dokes_Jane_Mountain_Glory.jpg
Note that for this show the maximum dimension for two-dimensional work has been reduced to 38 inches including the frame.
The Entry Form and Entry Fee (see the Prospectus) must be sent by mail. However, the preferred method of submitting images is to attach them to an e-mail message. The easiest way to do this is by dragging and dropping each JPEG image file into the body of this Pre-addressed E-Mail Message.
FALC will match the Entry Form and fees with the corresponding E-mailed images. If anything is missing the artist will be contacted.
Here's a sample submission e-mail. Artist's messages should look similar.

Alternately, the images can be burned to a CD, and sent in with the Entry Form and fee. Please place the image files directly on the CD, not in a folder or subfolder on the CD. Please put your name, address & phone # on the face of the CD. Plastic CD boxes break easily so use a CD mailer or sandwich the CD between 2 sturdy cardboard pieces for mailing.
Good Luck with your entry!
