We hope all have enjoyed a happy, prosperous year and have
found your membership in The Fine Arts League of Cary to be a rewarding
experience. Welcome to all our new members; membership is now
194.
There are many opportunities for our artists to
display their artwork - ballet schools, banks, coffee houses,
retirement centers and our FALC office and many Town of Cary locations.
We are very appreciative of the many, many hours donated by our members
to make these possible and to the Town of Cary for the use of their
beautiful facilities.
Thanks to our volunteers for
manning the office. It is well equipped, thanks to donations
by our members, furniture and equipment donated by ClinForce, the Town
of Cary and others. We have really nice and helpful neighbors, Kniffen
Investments and Brick and Garden Real Estate.
Thanks
to Charlie Shiel and Susan LaMantia for successfully chairing
FALC's Annual Juried Art Show. Thanks to: Karen Elizabeth Franke and
her team for an excellent job of handling the amazing number of entries
in the Teen Show; to Ann Etheridge for an excellent job of chairing the
March Jordan Hall Show; Winnie Ferguson for a great job on the Senior
Show; and to Lynda Chambers, Ann Hair and Wendy Musser for chairing the
Members Show. Thanks to Susan Espin for many excellent monthly programs
and to all FALC members who are representatives on the town boards.
Thank
you, Volunteers, for all you have done this year! Each member is
important to FALC. We wish to applaud and thank each member
who has become involved and those who have stayed the course in their
volunteer positions, to make FALC the great art organization it has
become.
There are a few open Board and other
positions that we hope to find volunteers for soon. We depend on our
members volunteering since we are an all-volunteer
organization. Please don't assume that "someone else" will do
it. We need YOU! If you can help in any way, please
contact any Board member for more information about positions available.
