2009 Annual Report

We hope all have enjoyed a happy, prosperous year and have found your membership in The Fine Arts League of Cary to be a rewarding experience.  Welcome to all our new members; membership is now 205.

There are many opportunities for FALC artists to display their artwork - ballet schools, banks, retirement centers and our FALC office and many Town of Cary locations. We are very appreciative of the many, many hours donated by our members to make these possible and to the Town of Cary for the use of their beautiful facilities. We wish to applaud and thank each member who has become involved and those who have stayed the course in their volunteer positions, to make FALC the great art organization it has become.

We continue to use and enjoy the FALC office and are grateful to our many volunteers who have manned it.  It is well equipped, thanks to donations by our members and others, furniture donated by ClinForce, and grants from the Town of Cary. We have really nice and helpful neighbors, Kniffen Investments and Brick and Garden Real Estate.

Thanks to Kathryn Cook for successfully chairing FALC's Annual Juried Art Show; and to the other show chairs: Eleanor Fisch - FALC office shows; Deanne Hooker - March Jordan Hall Show and  Emerging Artist Show; Winnie Ferguson - Senior Show; Jill Wise - Glenaire Retirement Center shows; Kimberlee Maselli - Cary Ballet Shows; Joyce McKee - BB & T Shows; Jillian Goldberg - Galaxy Cinema shows and to Don Hamilton - FALC Members Show. Thanks also to Linda Koffenberger for many excellent monthly programs and to all FALC members who are representatives on the town boards.

Also thanks to Mark Luczak, for the excellent job on "The Sketch Pad" and to Tom McKee for the excellent website. Both keep members informed of everything that we are doing.

We depend on our members volunteering since we are an all-volunteer organization. Many members have taken on the various jobs required to successfully complete all of the projects but we always need more to replace the ones who have to drop out.  Please don't assume that "someone else" will do it.  We need YOU!  If you can help in any way, please contact any Board member for more information about positions available. (Contact information is on the front of each Sketch Pad.)
